How to Set Up Your Personal Fundraising Page with the Unity Campaign

Set up your page

  • Go to the LCFC Main Page.
  • Click on Join This Team.
  • Fill out the following information:
    1. First Name
    2. Last Name
    3. Mobile Number
    4. Email (required)
  • Click Become a Fundraiser
  • Upload your picture (the page will still work if you do not upload a picture)
  • Set your Fundraising Goal
  • Write a message to encourage people to donate (Can’t think of anything to say? Don’t worry about it, the main message will be repurposed for your page.)
  • Click Save Changes
  • You will receive an email that has your page link and your individual code. You can edit your page from this email. Please save this email.
  • You now have an individual page for the Unity Campaign for Frederick County to raise money for LCFC!
  • Share this on your social media and your personal network.

FYI

You can include anything in your fundraising message that will appeal to friends and family that will encourage them to donate. They can donate by clicking the donate link on your page or your Text-to-Give Code that will appear at the top of your page in the purple bar above your picture.

Your picture, message, and goal will appear with the other fundraisers on the main page.

You can receive training on how to message from Federated Charities. Watch their Communicate Your Mission training that took place on Thursday, February 12 at 11 AM.

Helpful Information

Share your personal page on Facebook by copying your link. Then paste it into a new Facebook post, the link will populate a thumbnail of your page. You can then choose to delete the link and write a message or leave the link. Example social media messages should include a call to action “Your donation during the Unity Campaign will have an even bigger impact… donate today”
