Home / For Tutors / Literacy Library Access

1. Connect to our literacy library collection

Click on Literacy Council of Frederick County near the top center of that page, and then type into the Find Box a keyword (such as phonics, grammar, math, conversation.)

2. Contact us

Once you have chosen items, contact us at (301) 600-2066, or by email, and the staff will get your selections ready for pickup.

3. Outside of office hours

If you cannot come to the office to pick up tutoring materials during our regular hours, you can arrange, via phone or email, to check out the books you need. They will be packaged and left at the C. Burr Artz Library reference desk on the 2nd floor, or you can ask to have your books sent by county courier to a Frederick County branch library for pickup closer to your home. (Please note that, because of delivery scheduling, your books may take up to a week to get to your local branch.)

4. Returning materials

You can also return your materials to us through the library. You must package the books together and label the package “For the Literacy Council Office.” Be sure to include a note with your name inside the package so we know who is returning the materials; also please send us an email so we can watch for your package. Please do not put the books in a library book drop box. Return them to the desk where you picked them up.
