DESCRIPTION:Professional development sessions will provide opportunities for tutors to gain expertise that will support their tutoring.  A different topic will be presented each month\, and tutors will also have a chance for general discussions and to ask questions after the presentation.  The sessions will be held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 1:30 – 3:00 in the Literacy Council classroom. The February session has been rescheduled to the 4th Wednesday.  The topic will be “Teaching With the Brain in Mind: Maximizing engagement and retention to facilitate learning.”
