For more than 45 years we have offered free one-to-one tutoring in basic reading, writing, and spelling to English speaking adults. We also provide similar services and small group instruction in conversational English, reading, writing, and spelling to non-English speaking adults.

We teach approximately 120 adults each year and have approximately 30 students waiting for tutors!

The 2012 Read-a-Thon concluded on February 11th with an event at the C. Burr Artz Library.  The LCFC wishes to thank all the participants and sponsors for helping to make this a successful event. 

Our sponsors were:  The Gazette, Frederick Memorial Regional Healthcare System, Pryor's Nursery, The Frederick News-Post, Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Friends of Frederick County Public Libraries.
